• An existing database is failing to meet the latest business requirements
• Complex spreadsheets need to be either consolidated and / or shared

Our starting point is to establish a full understanding of your detailed business requirements. This dictates the scope of the database together with any requirements to transfer data from previous databases and / or spreadsheets enabling us to prepare a proposal for the work involved.

During the development phase we maintain regular contact with you preparing prototypes that we review together. This approach ensures that all your expectations are addressed and that the final system is a result of an evolutionary design process with which you have been fully involved throughout.

The end product contains facilities that are specific to individual requirements together with many other facilities that are generic in being equally applicable to all business environments. These latter generic facilities are Gems that will have been developed during earlier projects and are made available for all new projects. These improve dramatically the functionality of the database adding significant value to the final product without adding to the corresponding cost. Any new Gems that are developed are then added to the library for use in future projects.
