1. Medical systems Many of our recent projects have been in the medical sector and we have developed CIPTS to address all of the patient based needs arising from various hospital specialties. The features of CIPTS are extensive and so a separate page has been devoted to this package. A separate, non patient based system, is used to record and analyses the large number of detailed chemical tests that are undertaken by the quality control department of a hospital.
2. Publishing We have three installations of our publishing database each of which has been tailored to meet specific needs. This system assists in the management both the publishing and marketing of books and journals. For books, this involves tracking the progress of the scheduled tasks associated with each stage of the publishing process. For journals, this monitoring is applied to each paper within each issue as well as the issue itself. Many data relationships are built into these systems. These are used to accommodate the multiple editions for a book, the multiple prices for an edition or reprint, the multiple authors and contributors for each book that are allocated to each of the multiple chapters. Other links are provided for suppliers and deliveries. Marketing information is held for mailings, adverts and conferences where each of these may be used to market several products. Our system provides separate views of this data either by starting from the marketing activity and drilling down to the products or by starting at the products to see the marketing activities for any one product. Letter writing facilities are also provided within this system. . 3. Mailing . 4. Leasing
5. Chemicals This system supports the wholesale activity of trading chemicals. Sales orders involving various quantities of different chemicals are supplied from different combinations of purchase orders for these chemicals. The system enables groups of items from the purchase orders to be ‘allocated’ to the sales order. These can then be accessed and viewed very swiftly using powerful ‘drilldown’ techniques.
6. Timekeeping This system records the individual time spent each day by each person on each job. It also records each item of chargeable expenditure incurred either by individuals or centrally. These times and expenses are then consolidated for each client in order to prepare invoices that group time by individuals and expenses by group.. From each invoice, the user is able to ‘drill down’ to the time and expense items that have been referenced in order to provide an easy to use reconciliation of the figures prepared. The management information which is then derived from this data includes: · Turnover analysis · Work in progress · Aged debtor (when receipts are entered) · Profitability reporting · Breakdown of the time spent by any individual over any period of time This system has been implemented into practices of both surveyors and architects where the latter also has facilities to monitor planning and building applications and the variety of drawings that are prepared and issued.
7. Yarn processing This was a specialized application used to monitor the processes of creeling, singeing and mercerising of yarn and its redistribution from the large containers of raw yarn through to the winding back onto spindles at the end of the process. o issue updates via email. |
