CIPTS (Clinical Information and Patient Tracking system)
CIPTS is a clinical information system used in hospitals to record detailed clinical information across multiple specialties with extended facilities in the areas of: Patient demographics are downloaded as required from PAS and updated automatically following any changes to the PAS data.

As each user logs in, their menu is assembled according to their specialty with a standard generic menu for most specialties but separate specific menus for: Patients may be set up on waiting lists or booked directly as episodes with theatre session allocation. Waiting list can be managed on either a time or priority basis.

Within each episode, all combinations of diagnoses, investigations, drugs, treatments, operations complications and, for dermatology, patch test results may be recorded.

Letters may be prepared manually using templates that enable all combinations of pre-formatted headings, data selections and free text to be used. There are also facilities for letters to be downloaded from outsourced suppliers.

The analysis facilities enables all of the data to be presented using a wide variety of modeling structures, filters and sequences with options for viewing the results as either summary statistics or patient lists either on screen or by exporting to spreadsheets.

What others say:

"CIPTS is of essential use for staff, particularly for departments that are spread over 3 sites which are quite a distance from each other. Staff are able to view letters that are typed at other sites, reducing queries and telephone calls."

"The main benefit of CIPTS for me is quick and easy access to each patient's information. Personal details, clinic letters etc. are stored in one place and the search facility to find each patient is so easy that a lot of time is saved, especially when there are so many patients stored on the database. Theatre lists are also easy to access and print. It is also a very user friendly database."
